"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
I have had numerous times in my life when I didn't know what was ahead of me or really how I was going to get anywhere.
Others have had much harder challenges and much larger obstacles in their paths than I have had, but I know that I had questions about the future and I think most people have.
The important thing to remember, though, is that God has plans for me, you and everyone.
It's easy to get wrapped up in work, school and other parts of our daily lives and focus on what we have to do in order to get by or get ahead.
What we need to do, though, is to turn toward God and live the life that God would like us to live.
God has plans for all of us, is there to help us past our obstacles and wants to help us prosper. God isn't there to punish us for doing wrong, but to help us to do right.
We all have a future with God and we all should have hope. No matter what you have done or where you are in your life, God loves you and wants to help you prosper.
We know that we will all prosper with God in Heaven, and we can look forward to that because Jesus died for our sins.
But while we are on earth, God has plans for us no matter how old or how young we are. Whether you have your whole life ahead of you or if you just have a few days left on earth, you can also do great things.
In my father's last days, for example, he helped people and touched people's lives even though he was weak and failing. And just as my father helped others through their tough times, I know that God helped my father through his own tough times. God had plans for my father and helped him, just as God has plans for all of us and wants to help us.
I hope that no matter what challenges you face, you remember that God loves you and will help you toward a bright future. You are not alone. God loves you.
Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
